Aerolase Neo Elite®: An Effective, No-Downtime Laser for All Skin Types

Young woman with smooth skin touching chin and smiling

Versatile and innovative, the Neo Elite laser from Aerolase produces results that few laser skin treatments can match. Whether you want to reverse signs of aging, reduce acne, or minimize skin discoloration, the Neo Elite can treat a range of concerns for patients with light or dark skin. The Neo Elite laser is the latest addition to our Vero Beach, FL, practice.

What Type of Laser Is the Aerolase Neo Elite?

What sets the Neo Elite apart from other lasers is its ability to target and treat specific conditions without damaging the surrounding skin, meaning there is little chance of complications such as burns. That’s because the Neo Elite delivers pulses of energy much faster than other skin rejuvenation lasers. Many laser pulses are measured in milliseconds; the Neo Elite delivers energy in microseconds.

This quick pulse reduces the chances of burning the skin surrounding the treatment area, especially for patients with darker pigment. It also means patients remain comfortable during the procedure no matter what skin condition is being addressed.

What Does the Aerolase Neo Elite Laser Do?

Laser technology used for skin rejuvenation has evolved significantly during the past couple of decades. The Halo™ fractional laser, for example, is the first hybrid laser skin treatment, combining two wavelengths and giving providers the ability to truly customize the procedure.

The Neo Elite is a similar breakthrough, especially when it comes to the variety of conditions it can treat effectively, its level of comfort, and the range of skin types it treats. The laser is cleared to treat more than 35 specific skin conditions. They include:

  • Melasma
  • Acne
  • Folliculitis
  • Spider veins
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Psoriasis
  • Bruises
  • Overall skin rejuvenation

Additionally, we can use the Neo Elite for laser hair removal at our Vero Beach med spa.

How Does the Laser Work?

The groundbreaking technology used by Neo Elite targets melanin, hemoglobin (a protein in red blood cells), and water in the skin. These are all involved in the skin’s aging and other conditions. The laser’s energy penetrates to the deeper layers of the skin, destroying acne-causing bacteria, reducing inflammation, and suppressing the production of an oily substance called sebum. The heat also stimulates new collagen production, an essential component of smooth, firm skin.

What Happens During a Neo Elite Laser Treatment?

One of the reasons the Neo Elite is such a popular procedure is because it is much more comfortable than most laser skin rejuvenation treatments. No numbing cream is necessary, and patients experience just a sensation of mild warmth as the laser’s wand is passed over the treatment site. You may have some redness after an appointment, but no recovery time is needed.

How Many Neo Elite Treatments Are Needed?

The number of treatments needed depends on the condition being treated. In general, we recommend scheduling an initial series of 4 to 6 treatment sessions. Periodic maintenance procedures can help keep your skin looking refreshed.
