How a Hydrafacial Treatment Works

Hydrafacial nurtures the skin using patented Vortex Fusion technology combined with hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and peptide-rich formulas.

Hydrafacial’s 3-step process includes:

Cleanse: The hand-held HydraPeel tip removes dirt and debris while gently exfoliating the skin without causing redness or irritation. This step uses a mixture of botanical cleansers, AHA/BHAs, and soothing ingredients.

Extract: Hydrafacial utilizes Vortex suction to dislodge blackheads and any remaining impurities from deep within the pores while boosting circulation at the same time.

Infuse: Vortex Infusion fortifies the skin with antioxidants, multivitamins, and hyaluronic acids to saturate the skin’s surface with moisture.

Guests may personalize their experience with lymphatic drainage to remove excess fluid and waste as well as contour the face. Guests may also choose from an array of skin boosters, including stem cells, growth factors, peptides, and acids to enhance their complexion and leave the skin firmer.

The Signature Hydrafacial MD at White Orchid concludes with LED light therapy to lock in moisture, treat fine lines and wrinkles, kill acne-causing bacteria, and correct uneven skin tone.

Hydrafacial Frequently Asked Questions

How Often Should You Get a Hydrafacial?

We recommend making Hydrafacial a regular part of your overall skincare plan. A treatment every 4 weeks can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, and oily and congested skin. Maintaining healthy skin with Hydrafacial treatments will keep your skin looking refreshed and youthful.

Can You Get a Hydrafacial While Pregnant?

Hormonal changes during pregnancy can cause acne and other unwanted changes to your complexion. But is it safe to undergo Hydrafacial treatments? The safety of glycolic and salicylic acids hasn’t been studied in connection with pregnancy. At White Orchid Spa, we are happy to offer a specialized protocol that’s safe for our expecting guests by removing the glycolic and salicylic acids in the treatment.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists says that topical over-the-counter products containing these ingredients are safe to use. However, we recommend consulting with your doctor before getting Hydrafacial treatments.

Is Hydrafacial Good for Acne?

Hydrafacial is one of the most effective med spa treatments for all types of acne symptoms, including blackheads, whiteheads, and cystic acne. Hydrafacials treat acne by exfoliating deep into the skin and then delivering topical serums to reduce acne and inflammation. The treatment also includes a deep clean without drying out the skin, which can be an issue with other acne treatments, such as face scrubs or chemical peels. Combining Hydrafacial with lymphatic drainage and LED blue light therapy is ideal for acneic skin conditions.

Is Hydrafacial Worth It?

Users on the RealSelf website who have had Hydrafacial treatments give Hydrafacial a 98% “worth it” rating. We hear similar responses from the guests at White Orchid Spa. Hydrafacial delivers the promised results.

DiamondGlow® vs Hydrafacial: What’s the Difference?

DiamondGlow and Hydrafacial share many similarities, but key differences exist. The DiamondGlow procedure involves mechanical exfoliation using a diamond-tipped wand, compared to Hydrafacial’s chemical exfoliation. Hydrafacial’s patented Vortex-Fusion technology is unique to Hydrafacial. This technology dislodges and removes impurities while delivering hydrating and nourishing serums to the skin. Hydrafacial is a gentler treatment than DiamondGlow.

Hydrafacial vs. Chemical Peel

A chemical peel, such as a VI Peel®, is a more aggressive approach to skin rejuvenation than Hydrafacial treatments. Medium-depth chemical peels performed at White Orchid Spa use trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to treat fine surface wrinkles, superficial blemishes, and pigmentation problems. A Hydrafacial may be a better option if you’re seeking a no-downtime treatment that effectively treats acne and results in glowing skin.
