We recommend JuVaShape at our med spa for patients whose skin has started to lose its elasticity, but who aren’t ready for plastic surgery. Bone and fat loss, as well as gravity, cause skin to droop, which leads to jowls, “turkey neck”, and sagging skin under the eyes and on the cheeks.
The technology employed by JuVaShape can also tone and tighten crepey skin on the arms and other areas of the body.
SkinTyte not only tightens facial skin and most areas of the body, but it can also improve the appearance of sun damaged and aged skin and reduce facial and neck redness. The most commonly treated areas are the face, neck, and upper chest. Combining SkinTyte with JuVaShape can enhance your results.

Request an AppointmentThe combination of radiofrequency (RF) and ultrasound energy is a unique pairing of technologies for a skin tightening treatment. The key to JuVaShape’s effectiveness is that it treats multiple layers of skin at the same time. The RF energy heats up deeper layers of the skin, triggering the production of collagen, which both lifts and tightens the skin. The ultrasound energy targets fat just below the skin’s surface.
The SkinTyte treatment uses infrared energy to selectively heat dermal collagen deep in the skin while cooling the skin’s outer layers to minimize discomfort during the procedure. As with JuVaShape, the heat generated by the infrared energy stimulates the body’s natural healing process, generating new, firmer collagen that results in tighter skin.
Our guests describe the sensation of a JuVaShape treatment as similar to getting a warm massage. The procedure gradually heats below the skin’s surface while a cooling system that’s integrated into the technology ensures the treatment remains comfortable. JuVaShape can treat all skin types and colors and no recovery time is needed after the procedure. A typical JuVaShape treatment takes between 30 and 60 minutes.
A SkinTyte procedure can be performed with or without a topical anesthetic, depending on the treatment area and the guest’s preferences. The provider uses a handheld device to deliver the infrared energy in a series of rapid, gentle pulses. The sequence is repeated over the treatment area to ensure optimal results. While the face and neck can typically be treated within 30 minutes, the actual time will depend on the area treated.
As with other skin rejuvenation and skin tightening treatments that involve heat energy, the results of JuVaShape and SkinTyte procedures emerge gradually as the skin produces new collagen. Rarely do our med spa guests experience side effects after the treatments. Most people see the optimal benefits after more than one treatment. We recommend a series of treatments, scheduled at least 3 or 4 weeks apart, with maintenance procedures performed every 6 months.
